M.A.D Flood Appeal

The recent floods in our local area have been nothing short of devastating with many people losing their homes, cars and belongings.

Brigadoon Holiday Park at North Haven has been devastated by these floods with 96 permanent residents suffering extensive damage to their homes and losing the majority of their possessions. Most are in their 80’s and 90’s and don’t have any funds to rebuild or purchase new items. Homes require extensive repairs prior to re-occupation and some are beyond repair.

There is an urgent need for washing machines and fridges for residents who are due to move back into their homes once the repairs are complete.

So why should your business contribute to the appeal?

It is hard to know how to respond and assist especially when people’s loss can be so personal.

Malcolm Neale and Make a Difference PMQ (M.A.D) have partnered together and are on a mission to roll out a washing machine and fridge drive. Through Teale Bryan we approached Josh Fairhall owner of Bi Rite in Kempsey and Gloucester, who has kindly offered to supply washing machines and fridges at cost price with free delivery. This will help us achieve our M.A.D Flood Appeal goal of donating 100 appliances in 30 days. 

So how will this donation drive work?

  1. Your business can purchase a fridge or washer at cost price for a Brigadoon resident
  2. You confirm which option by filling out the google form. 
  3. Make a direct Deposit for the appliance chosen and reference your business name.
  4. M.A.D PMQ places an order with Bi Rite and pays Bi Rite directly. 
  5. Bi Rite delivers the product to residents at Brigadoon
  6. We promote your business through our social media pages and website.

M.A.D has DGR status so your donation is tax deductible and there are no admin fees.

What impact will your business have?
