“Ubuntu” is a South African word meaning “I am because you are.” It represents “community” and the belief that everything is interconnected and interdependent.

The Carolyn M Vincent Ubuntu Foundation supports projects that facilitate connection to combat against the issues we face today as a society that stem from disconnection: disconnection from ourselves, from each other, from our passions, and from nature. The mission of the Ubuntu Foundation is to foster unity, build communities, and address the underlying disconnects that challenge our world today.

This ethos aligns harmoniously with that of Make a Difference PMQ. With this in mind, we are excited to acknowledge a very special partnership with Ubuntu Foundation Australia that commenced in 2025 and gratefully announce a  donation of $50,000.00 that  is now being used to strengthen the administration, operations and community engagement aspects of the Make a Difference PMQ  charity through the employment of two key positions to oversee our events and volunteer roles and the provision of grant writing support.

We look forward to working more closely with the Ubuntu foundation into the future and continue to strive to nurture positive connections within our local community.
